Patient Specific Alerts (CDSS)

To create a specific patient alert (reminder) in eCW:

1. Click on Progress Notes.

2. Click on Alerts.

3. Click on Add.

4. Click on Labs, D.I. Imm/T.Inj, Proc., Billing, or Other. In this case, we'll use Labs. Under Provider List, click Add and select the Provider's name.

5. Type in the name of the lab or click on "Sel" to search for the lab. Once you have typed in the name of the lab, click "View Lab Codes". If it shows an error, make sure that "All" is checkmarked and click View Lab Codes again. Click on the lab and then click on OK.

6. To get an alert, for example, 3 months out, place the number "3" in the Recall After blank and click on Month(s). Select the proper due date. Click OK.
