Troubleshooting for Dymo not printing

Description of issue: The LabelWriter will not print. Jobs will be locked up in the queue. The button on the front of the device is unresponsive.

  • Step 1: Power cycle the device
    • Unplug power and USB cables
    • Remove labels and spool, then close lid
    • Wait 60 seconds
    • Plug in USB first then power
    • Unplug power cable
    • Install labels
    • Plug the power back in
    • Press and hold feed button on front of Dymo for 5 secs. Labels should print. If not, continue to next step. If so, send test page from windows. Successful? If yes, you're done. If no, move to next step.
  • Step 2: Remove Dymo and reinstall drivers
    • Unplug Dymo power cable and disconnect USB cable from computer
    • Delete any Dymo printers in devices and printers, uninstall Dymo drivers from Print Management, and uninstall Dymo software
    • Restart computer
    • Install the latest version of Dymo software from \\CATCfilestore1\staging\DYMO - Blank Label fix
    • Shutdown computer
    • Plug in Dymo power cable and connect USB cable to computer
    • Turn computer on
    • After drivers automatically install, open Dymo software and print test label
    • LabelWriter should be working properly at this point
