PHA Back Office Check In Option

If a Health Center iPad is out of commission, or a provider adds a PHA draw to a provider visit, health center staff should follow these steps for PHA "Back Office Check-in Process"

Back Office Check In

1. From the PHA Draw Wizard, in the Admin Portal, select the dropdown next to "Draw Queue" and choose PHA Draw Check In. 

2. Enter the patient's Date of Birth and click Search. 

3. Select the patient's name from the list. This will open a new window. 

4. Verify the patient's information. If it is incorrect, select 'Update'. 

5. Verify the Delivery Preference for the PHA results pamphlet, whether electronic or via the U.S. Postal Service.

6. Have the patient review the authorization and select 'I agree to the terms outlined above', if they agree. 

7. Have the patient type their name under 'Patient Signature. 

Note: Make sure to check in the patient using Clinic Dashboard in addition to the process described above. The back office check in process not NOT check the patient into the eCW encounter. 

Back Office Process

1. Access the Clinic Draw Queue from the left column in the Portal (located under PHA Admin)

2. Select the Patient's name. The list will populate based on the check-in status. 

3. Ask the patient the questions listed by clicking on the radio buttons. 

4. Select a Race from the dropdown 

5. Insert the Vitals

6. Add any Vitals Notes

7. Select "Save & Print Requisition".

8. Confirm your health center is selected in the location dropdown. If it is not, click on the drop down to select the correct Health Center. 

9. Once the requisition has been printed, a check mark will appear under 'Requisition'. Click "Complete PHA". 

Note: If the Requisition fails to print, click on "Save and Print Again" to re-print or download the PDF

10. A notification indicating the draw is complete will flash in the lower right corner of the screen and the patient will drop out of the clinic draw queue.
