Email - Intune for Android

Microsoft Intune Company Portal App on Android Devices

This walk-through will guide you on how to install the Microsoft Intune Company Portal app on an Android device which will assist in accessing CareATC Email.

Prerequisites:

  • Microsoft Authenticator for CareATC - CareATC 2FA Guide
  • Seek approval by sending an email to support@careatc.com asking for email access on your mobile device making sure to include:

  • Direct Supervisor 
  • Serial Number/Make/Model of your device. 

  • Once approved, follow the instructions below 

Please note, Android devices are made by different manufacturers and steps/images in this walk-through may vary slightly. These instructions are made on a Samsung Galaxy S9 running Android 10.0


Check your phones settings to make sure they comply with the following rules:

  • Minimum of 6 character lock screen PIN (Settings --> Lock Screen ---> Screen Lock Type --> PIN)
  • Require PIN immediately after the screen locks (Settings --> Lock Screen ---> Secure Lock Settings --> Lock Automatically)
  • Auto-Lock screen after a maximum of 5 minutes (Settings --> Display --> Screen Timeout)
  • Require PIN when device turns on (Settings --> Biometrics and Security --> Secure Startup) - If you do not see this, it's already enabled by default.

Delete all Microsoft apps used to access CareATC email EXCEPT for the Microsoft Authenticator App.


  1. Make sure you meet the above Prerequisites.
  2. Navigate to the App Store on your Android device and search for Intune Company Portal. Install the app, then open it.
  3. Sign into your CareATC email account.

  4. Read and follow the on screen instructions. Then, click  Begin.

  5. Please read the  Privacy section of what CareATC will be able to see about the device. Then, click Continue.

  6. You'll be asked to Set up a work profile. Click Agree.

  7. Once finished, you'll be asked to continue with your CareATC Access Setup. Click Continue.

  8. After the device is finished configuring your device, click Done.
    Note, if you don't get a green check in the Update Device Settings area, go to the start of this guide and set your phones settings according.

  9. To validate your device meets CareATC standards, click on your device under Devices. Then validate the Device Settings Status marked as In Compliance

Please note, when making an Android Work Profile, it will place the CareATC managed apps in a separate area. Also, all apps that are Work managed will have a little lock in the bottom right corner. 

11. Next, go to the Work Google Play Store. 

12. To get the full functionality of all Office 365 products, make sure to download all the apps made available to you in the Work Google Play Store.

13. Once you've downloaded all the apps, you're phone will look something similar to the following picture.

That's it. You're all set!
