PHA Draw Team Equipment
This document instructs you on how to properly setup and test the PHA Team Draw Equipment.
Equipment requirements:
Each set should have 1 printer, 2 laptops, 2 ipads, 1 ATT hotspot, and 1 Verizon hotspot
Setup steps:
- Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds on ATT hotspot to turn it on. Leave the Verizon hotspot off. If you get to the next step and the ATT hotspot is showing low reception, start these instructions over with the Verizon hotspot. It's important to note that you should only have one hotspot on for the draw. Having both on during the draw will cause issues.

Wait 1-2 minutes for the hotspot to turn on. Eventually the screen will go dark. If the screen is dark double, tap the power button to wake. Assess the cell indicator on the hotspot for reception. The screen should display a group of reception bars at the top of the screen. There should be at least one bar as well as 4G LTE or 3G LTE next to the reception bars. If you see anything else, power the device completely off by holding the power button down for 10 seconds until you see the acknowledgement that the device is powering off. Once the ATT hotspot is off, start these instructions over with the Verizon hotspot. Please note, do not worry about the data usage on these devices.

Once the hotspot is on and reception is confirmed, power on the laptops, printer/s and ipad/s. Confirm that the devices are connected to the CATC-PHA wireless network by following the next steps.
To confirm that the laptop is connected to the correct network, log into the computer and go to the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Click the icon circled in the picture below at the bottom right hand corner of the screen and confirm that the network CATC-PHA shows the word Connected below it. If the laptop is showing not connected, or is connected to a network other than CATC-PHA, click on the CATC-PHA network and click connect. Verify the word 'Connected' shows below the CATC-PHA network.
- To confirm that the iPad/s are connected to the correct network, unlock the iPad and go to the 'Settings' icon, then wireless networks. There should be a network listed called CATC-PHA and it should have a check mark next to it. If a network other than the CATC-PHA network is showing, tap on the CATC-PHA network and verify that the check mark shows.
- To confirm the printer is connected to the correct network, power it on and wait 3 minutes. Next press the Up or Down arrow on the printer until you see 'Machine Info' on the display. Press Okay. The printer will print the current printer settings page. On the 3rd page, confirm the page shows "Link OK" next to Wireless link status near the bottom of the page.
- Next follow these steps on one of the laptops to print a test page to verify that the printer is functioning:
- Click the Windows Start button in the bottom left hand corner.
- In the Search box, type Devices and Printers. If this doesn't show up, type Control Panel.
- Touch or click Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer. It will be the same name as the sticker on the printer in your set.
- Click Printer Properties.
- Under the General tab, Touch or click Print Test Page.
